Students will learn to:

  • Read, understand and write academic texts
  • Carry out literature reviews on topics related to their studies
  • Use solid argumentation in order to persuade the reader
  • Give a presentation on the topic of their research


The course is designed to improve academic writing skills. The focus will, therefore, be on macro aspects such as appropriate writing style and paragraph structure as well as micro aspects such as vocabulary and complex sentence constructions. Grammar and punctuation issues will be addressed as well when necessary.

This course is not suitable for native speakers.




Attending all workshops is mandatory. Students should complete all the assignments on time. The final grade is based on the student performance throughout the course.
